Charter School Oversight & Accountability

Our schools operate under a transparent accountability system. This framework is mandated by Utah State Law (53G-5-406) and further defined by Board Rule R277-553-2 to ensure every charter school is academically successful, financially stable, and legally compliant.

At least once every five years, every school undergoes a comprehensive evaluation:

  • Comprehensive Review: An intensive audit of the school’s long-term academic performance, financial viability, and board performance.
  • Five-Year Site Visit: A mandatory physical visit by the authorizer to verify on-the-ground operations.
  • Agreement Audit: A formal review of the charter agreement to ensure the school’s mission and operations remain aligned and relevant.
