STUDENTS ENROLLED
Fall School Enrollment
Fall School Enrollment shows the total number of students enrolled at the school on October 1st of each of the last five years. This provides a consistent annual snapshot of the school's student population, revealing patterns of growth, stability, or decline over time.
Enrollment Trend
Enrollment trend measures the percentage change in a school's enrollment from one academic year to the next. It's calculated by comparing the current year's fall enrollment count to the previous year's fall enrollment count, then multiplying by 100 to express it as a percentage. This metric provides insight into whether a school's student body is growing, shrinking, or remaining relatively stable over time.
Transfer Rate
The percentage of students who leave the school during the year to go to another private or public school in the state, to go to home school, or who dropped out. Excluded are non-residents, students whose school of record is another school, students who attended the school for less than 10 days, and students in kindergarten.
Retention Rate
Percentage of students enrolled at year-end who returned to a school within the LEA by October 1st of the following school year.

RISE Student Proficiency:
Student proficiency is based on academic achievement as measured by performance on a statewide assessment of English language arts, mathematics, and science. To be considered proficient for the school, students must have scored in the Proficient or Highly Proficient ranges. Data Gateway and USBE are good resources on student growth and student proficiency. To protect PPI, public education reports offer the challenge of meeting transparency requirements while also meeting legal requirements to protect each student’s personally identifiable information (PII). Recognizing this, the reporting requirements state that subgroup disaggregation of the data may not be published if the results would yield personally identifiable information about an individual student.

While the data used by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE), the Utah State Charter School Board (SCSB) and local education agencies (LEAs) is comprehensive, the data made available to the public is masked to avoid unintended disclosure of personally identifiable information at summary school, LEA, or state-level reports.
